f off charity!

good laugh of the day...
thanks to marvin.

so this charity called my house asking for a donation of my unwanted clothes. something along the lines of giving it to starving people in some third world countries.

i told them, fuck off!...

...anyone who can fit my clothes isn't starving!

the secret will be exposed

so victoria's secret is finally set to open tomorrow (october first) at ala moana shopping center. just a measly two years since it was first announced they were coming. and although i'm excited that i don't need to stock up when i go on vacations, it kinda sucks that hawaii is just becoming another one of those big box malls filled with all these franchises.

one good thing though, Victoria Secret's amazing looking store front. Frosted glass walls. Very chic. It follows their whole new visual concept of a jeweled box...following suit to their flagship seen here on 59th Street in New York.

people say that the hope stores like urban outfitters, bath and body works, trader joes will come to hawaii; i say no. if anything, i wouldn't mind an ikea, just because they don't ship to hawaii, but we are essentially losing our uniqueness. these big franchises will be pushing out those mom and pop stores, boutiques, and soon...we will be all dressing the same because that's all the world has to offer.

and my uniqueness, that is something i treasure.

today i wore my tye-dye headband to school that livia and i made. my friend asked me if i was trying to be a cool, i said, i dont need to try.

inspired, and a fresh new start

i've recently been inspired to write and document my daily doings.

maybe it's because after a meeting with a career counselor i realized that i cannot put socializing on my list of extracurricular activities. or that i would like to have all my inspirations organized somewhere else besides in a chaotic mess in my room.

nonetheless, here we go.

lately i've been thinking in my head of compiling a list of people i'd like to meet someday.

near the top: artist dale chihuly. who does amazing work with glass. ah-mazing. i heard he's kinda cooky, but what do you expect with a guy who wears a pirate's eye patch?

i'd love to fill my ceiling one day with his glass blown sculptures and stare at it.alllll day.
